Key found for the lock. Gold tassel fitted.
Skiver delivered.
Brass hinges and lock parts removed and soaking in cleaner.
Screw heads polished.
Old velour writing surface removed ready and prepared to receive new leather skiver.
Baize removed from underside.
Key found for the lock. Gold tassel fitted.

Some delamitation of veneer in main base, appears to be due to liquid spill. Hot hardwood block clamped over area.
Support strip in small base partly detached. Re-glued using hide glue
Small piece of wood missing below one hinge. New one cut and glued. Piece of walnut veneer glued under hinge.
Small piece of missing veneer replaced. It will be polished black.
Some delamitation of veneer in main base, appears to be due to liquid spill. Hot hardwood block clamped over area.
