4/78 Nicole Freres mini cartel serial no 22508 circa 1842
Bought at auction October 2023. Excellent condition but not running.
A tiny cartel (box is just 195mm long) purporting to be by Nicole Freres. More likely to have been made by Lecoultre Freres I am told.
Some damage to the comb, found to have been badly repaired using the wrong steel so will require substantial restoration.

4th November, dismantling
All components cleaned and polished. Now to reassemble. Then it can go to the tooth fairy!
Reassembly completed.
The next stage is pin straightening
