2/55 JGM Tabatiere in Seaside Photo Album
Bought via eBay in May 2023, this album, is in quite good condition, including a fairly new slip case. However, the movement had suffered a catastrophic 'run' resulting in the loss of 49 teeth from the comb. It appears that the largest gear had 'popped out' of the governor causing the cylinder to rotate at high speed breaking off most of the teeth.
However, I happened to have an almost identical orphaned movement, by the same maker JGM, already cleaned up. It was lacking a good worm drive gear having lost a tooth. So a quick swap of this gear, so minor adjustment plus swapping the stop/start lever screw and we were in business.
