Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Photo Album with 2/51 Tabatiere
A friend picked this album up at an Antiques Fair.
The interior is in superb condition, apart from one page, and is filled with family photos from the era.
The binding was held together with gaffer tape and the front cover was becoming detached.
This has been professionally restored to the condition in the first picture below.

The movement, which plays two versions of Rule Britannia, was almost black from oil, dirt and tarnish.
Even using the most aggressive brass cleaners it was not possible to remove all of the discolouration from the spring housing. However the cylinder, bedplate and other components have cleaned up nicely.
The final piece of work is to make a new glass door for the music compartment, which is underway.
