6/58 Ami Rivenc Cartel 31718 circa 1882
Bought at auction (unseen). Not working when it arrived because the jewel bearing was missing. I found it inside the case, but it's too small, so it pops out of it's retainer. Temporary fix and it ran, but slowly and faintly. I then discovered that the cylinder bearing screws were both loose. Once tightened it works well and the tunes are delightful.
One damper missing from the comb, otherwise it's just dirty.
Needs a full service, two new springs and some polish and it will be good as new.
It has no tune sheet, so will need to enlist some Facebook help once it's working properly.
