6/50 Petites Musique in Burr Walnut case Restoration Diary
Bought at auction September 2023.
Very good, condition when received, but with the usual tarnish and dirt.
Quite a few bent pins, but no damage to the comb (all dampers intact).
The box had replacement hinges, nailed in place, and the brass edging was so black that it looked to be of ebony.
Two brass pin feet were missing as was one triangular fitment.

Two brass pin feet were missing as was one triangular fitment.
An overnight dip in Horolene for all the brass components then a polish for the cylinder plus some pin straightening before reassembly.
