8/25 Unknown Cartel in Oak Box
I picked this small cartel up at auction for a pittance.
The movement is complete and working - quite loud - and there are less teeth than on some of my tabatieres.
The cylinder is just 90mm long x 31.27mm dia.
The box is not the original, but is quite well made in solid oak. The bearers are plywood (not good) and the fixings are bolts. I may need to make a few 'adjustments' to make it more authentic.
Needs a good clean and polish and I might add some embellishment inlay to the lid - time will tell.
