** 2/29 Thorens Painted Top - Landscape

Plays Nach Regen folgt Sonne (After Rain Comes Sun) & Wage dam musch du ned traurig si (Sounds like "With a Banjo on my Knee")
This box just needs the movement to be serviced.

** 2/29 Painted Top - Child Scene

The tunes are 'I'm drifting back to Dreamland' by Jack Sadler circa 1929, and 'Not Here, Not There' by Al Capp circa 1957 as (most of) the original tune sheet is pasted to the inside of the lid.

2/50 Tabatiére

Circa 1880 Snuff Box (Tabatiére) movement in brass. 2 airs, 50 notes with trill
Unknown maker
Not in original box but with original key

The movement, although working (just) when I bought it was very dirty and covered in oil & fluff.
It took a day to dismantle, clean (using ultrasonic bath, degreaser dentists pick and wire wool) and reassemble, lubricating only the bearings.
A new brake spring was fitted. The movement would benefit from a glass cover and external control sliders for on / off and repeat. However there is not enough room within the small oak box for these to be added so that's not going to happen.

1/36 Reuge bespoke (up-cycled)

A solid oak divided box fitted with a striking inlay and reconditioned 18 note Reuge movement playing 'The Harry Lime Theme' from the film 'The Third Man' and lined with scarlet velour. The movement is protected from dust with a clear polycarbonate cover and a removable lid.

Simple oak box into which I have fitted a superb 3 tune 36 note orphaned movement by Reuge complete with original tune sheet.

Hickory Dickery Dock Clock Automaton

This lovely pottery box is in pristine condition.
It has been repaired to replace a missing large hand on the clock, but otherwise is perfect.
The movement is by Sankyo.
It plays 'I Just Called to Say I Love You' by Stevie Wonder. Click the right hand image to see and hear.
The clock goes around, the star rotates and the mouse swings on the pendulum. Delightful!
