African plant pot stand repair
A very difficult repair job for friends Janet * John Chilton, made more difficult by the fact that it had been repaired before.
Nearly got there (see below) but one of my 'new' pieces of infill snapped so had to go back to the drawing board.

And then it all came together! Phew. A few dabs of Van Dyke stain and some dark antique wax polish and you'd never know ...

The last image is of a part finished miniature version that was purchased at the same time as the large stand, just so that it could be seen how the carver achieved the stand from one piece of wood.
