4/82 Petites Musique 'Fortissimo' by Chevob & Co. late Baker Troll & Co.
Serial no. 22403 circa 1905/6
Bought via eBay in January 2025.
A very large snuff box type movement, about four times the size of my other Petite Musique boxes.
This one is in a quartered veneered mahogany box with lift up glass lid.
The moment is mainly chrome plated.

This box has a full provenance.
Bought by the seller's Grandfather, Albert Vollmer between 1905 & 1910 while he was travelling in Switzerland.
Albert was head of Kockums Enamel works in Ronneby, Sweden. He retired to Dresden in the 1920's to become the Swedish Consul. He died there in 1932.
The box passed to Albert's son Hans Vollmar who in turn handed it down to Dick Vollmer, from whom I bought it.

Stripped down to individual parts for cleaning
Markings
Two problems, both fairly major. One click spring broken off and endless snapped in half.
Reassembled
A bit of work on the case. Needs a good polish too.
