2 tune 56 note Tabatière movement in damaged box and with some issues itself.
No Geneva Stop works - male or female, but strangely, the screw for the female part is there.
The spring appears to be broken, but when dismantled was found to be disengaged from the arbor.
A very heavy spring had been attached to the stop lever.
The comb screws are domed head rather than square head.
The governor vane has lost a wing.
The winding key looks to be for a lock rather than a music box winder - but it works

Turning attention to the case.
The shield crest was probably Ivory or bone and beyond repair or restoration.
We decided to replace it with a light coloured veneer

With the shield replaced, a rub down with silica carbide paper and a few coats of shellac and wow!

Couldn't get the movement to run properly. Discovered that the spring arbor hook has sheared off so needed to be drilled out and replaced. Having done that it still wouldn't run, but I've sussed it. The comb was too close to the cylinder causing too much resistance. A sliver of paper under the front edge has done the trick.
